When do you get your deposit back?

The deposit is ₼200 to ₼1,000, depending on the class. A cash deposit is handed back when you return the car; if it is held on a card, we release the hold the same day.

A deposit is not a rental charge; it is security. We take it when you pick the car up and give it back when you return it. Nothing is paid when you book: the rental and the deposit are both settled at the handover.

How much it is

The amount depends on the car’s class. The table also shows your share of insured damage, the most you pay after an accident. With full cover that share is zero.

Cash or card

  • Cash: you pay in manat. At the return we look the car over together and you get the money back there and then.
  • Card: we hold the amount on a Visa or Mastercard; the money does not leave your account. We release the hold on the day you return the car, and the bank frees it within 3 working days.

On a monthly rental the deposit is taken once and returned when the contract ends. If a card hold still shows after 3 working days, message us and we will check it with the bank.

What can be deducted

At the return we check the fuel, the interior and the bodywork. If everything is in order, the whole deposit comes back. These are the amounts we may keep:

  • Missing fuel: at the filling-station price, plus ₼10 for the service.
  • Electric car returned below 80%: ₼5 for each missing 10%.
  • Smoking in the car: ₼100 (deep cleaning).
  • Car returned very dirty inside: ₼25.
  • Lost key or car papers: key ₼150, registration certificate ₼60.

Damage. After an accident with a traffic police report, the most we keep is the class’s share of damage, or nothing with full cover. The share can be larger than the deposit: in economy the deposit is ₼200 and the share ₼300, and you pay the difference separately. Without a report the insurance does not pay and you cover the damage in full, so after an accident do not move the car; call 102 and then us.

Fines are not taken from the deposit

Speed-camera and parking fines reach us 1–⁠3 weeks later, long after your deposit has gone back to you. When one arrives we send it to you on WhatsApp with the camera photo, and you pay it online yourself. An unpaid fine is invoiced separately.

No deposit with a driver

If our driver is at the wheel, you need neither a deposit nor a driving licence. A driver in Baku is ₼70 a day on top of the car’s price.
