Middle school, grades 5–9
Subject rooms and labs, English in groups by level, a second foreign language from grade 7.

From grade 5 every subject has its own teacher and lessons move to subject rooms: three labs for physics, chemistry and biology, and two computer rooms. The form tutor stays: they keep in touch with parents and, at the end of each half-year, go through the pupil’s progress in every subject at one meeting.
English stays at five hours a week, taught by level: each class splits into two groups. A second foreign language starts in grade 7, German or French, two hours a week and included in the fee.
Preparation for the state final exam in grade 9 is built into the timetable: an extra hour a week of native language, maths and English, and four mock exams during the year.
