In old Baku people went to the hammam one day a week
Several bathhouses once worked in the Old City: people went there not only to wash but to meet, drink tea and hear the news. The basement of the house used to be a grain store; during the restoration we turned it into a small hammam.
Inside are a heated stone, two marble basins and a steam room. The hammam is small, so it is given by the hour: whoever takes the session has the hammam.

The price is for the whole hammam, not per person.

At most 4 guests. For hotel guests a session that starts before 16:00 from Monday to Thursday costs 20% less.
How a session goes
- 10 minutes beforeYou come down to the front desk. We give you a peshtemal, slippers and towels; you need to bring nothing.
- The first 20 minutesYou lie on the hot stone and warm up. The stone is at 42 degrees and the air is damp.
- ThenYou pour water from the basin with the bowl, or the attendant begins: first the kese, then the foam.
- To finishTea, lemon and jam are waiting upstairs at Anjir. They are included in the session’s price.
Good to know
- The hammam works every day from 10:00 to 22:00; the last session starts at 20:00.
- You can take a session without staying at the hotel.
- We do not admit children under 12: the stone is too hot for them.
- If you are pregnant or have a heart condition or high blood pressure, ask your doctor first.
- A session can be changed or cancelled free up to 6 hours before.
