The roof terrace at dusk: string lamps and the lights of the city

Anjir restaurant

It carries the name of the tree in the courtyard: anjir is a fig. A short menu, tandir bread and, in summer, dinner on the roof.

It cooks what the season has

Head chef Tural Ahmadov changes the menu four times a year. The herbs and cheese come from Guba, the lamb from Shamakhi and the fish from the Caspian; the kitchen boils its own pomegranate narsharab every autumn.

There are 36 seats in the dining room and 20 in the courtyard under the fig tree. You do not have to be staying at the hotel to eat here.

The roof terrace

17:00–00:00

From the first of May to the end of October the evening table moves to the roof. On one side are the fortress wall and the roofs of the old town, on the other the Caspian; at sunset the Flame Towers light up.

The terrace seats 40. When the wind is strong, which is often in Baku, we move your table to the dining room or the courtyard.
