How the nurse comes
- Order
- You choose the tests and give the address and a time window. Pay online by card, or by card to the nurse.
- Call
- The nurse calls when she sets out, 20 to 30 minutes before she arrives. Her name and photo come by SMS.
- Sampling
- She checks your ID card and writes your name on the tubes in front of you. Taking blood takes 5 to 7 minutes.
- To the lab
- The sample reaches the central laboratory in Narimanov within 3 hours, in a cool bag at 2–8 °C.
- Results
- They are ready at the same time as at a branch. You get an SMS, and the result opens on the site with the order number and birth date.

What the nurse brings
- Single-use vacuum tubes and needles, all opened in front of you
- A tourniquet, alcohol wipes, plasters, single-use gloves and shoe covers
- Sterile containers for urine and stool
- A cool bag with a temperature log
- A card terminal, so you can pay on the spot
Getting ready for the visit
- For fasting tests, the last meal 8 to 12 hours before; water is fine
- An ID card, or the child’s birth certificate
- A table and a chair in a well-lit place
- Pets in another room
Children
We take blood at home from children from 1 year. A parent or legal guardian stays with the child and signs the consent form; we need the child’s birth certificate. For babies under 1 year we suggest the children’s room at the Narimanov branch.
Narimanov, Elmlar Akademiyasi, Khatai, Memar Ajami, Sumgait
Patients who cannot leave home
For patients in bed, after surgery and elderly patients, blood is taken in bed. Say so in the order: the nurse sets aside 15 extra minutes. Please have a family member at home.
Not taken at home
The glucose tolerance test (it takes 2 hours) and swabs for PCR are only taken at a branch. Each test’s page says whether it can be taken at home.
Questions
Can several family members give samples on one visit?
Yes, up to 5 people at one address. The visit fee is paid once, and the free-visit sum counts the whole family’s order.
Can I change the time or cancel?
Call the call centre by 20:00 the day before the visit, or write to us with the order number. If you paid online, the money goes back to the card within 3 working days.
What if the nurse is late?
A window is 1.5 hours long and the nurse comes within it. If she is running late, she calls you herself. If your tests are fasting tests, tell us and we put you first on her route.
Do you come to offices?
Yes, the address can be an office. If 20 or more employees are giving samples, a corporate order costs less: there is a discount from 10 people and the visit is free from 50. Work it out on the For companies page.
Can I give samples at home while pregnant?
Yes. We take every test asked for in pregnancy at home, except the glucose tolerance test.
Who explains the result?
The laboratory does not diagnose or prescribe. The doctor who sent you reads the result; if you wish, it is sent straight to them.
