About the group
Murov Industrial Group brings together five companies, three plants and 1,086 employees. The head office is in Baku; production is in Sumgait and Ganja.
History
We began with one warehouse. Each new company was started for a product our customers kept asking for and nobody in the country was making.
- 1998A steel trading company is founded in Baku: one warehouse, 9 employees.
- 2006The first tube mill starts up in Sumgait. Murov Metal is formed.
- 2009Murov Logistics is set up with 12 trucks and the plant’s rail siding.
- 2011The cable plant opens in Sumgait; its first product is 0.6/1 kV power cable.
- 2012First export: hollow sections to Georgia.
- 2015The polyethylene pipe plant starts up in Ganja. Murov Polimer is formed.
- 2019A CCV line is installed at the cable plant: XLPE cable up to 35 kV.
- 2023The fabrication shop is certified to EN 1090-2 execution class EXC3.
- 2026The second CCV line and a 1.2 MW rooftop solar plant in Ganja go live. First export to Uzbekistan.
Structure
The holding company is Murov Sənaye Qrupu CJSC, which owns 100 per cent of each of the five companies. Sales, quality and accounting sit in each company; finance, procurement and human resources are run at group level.
