Our robotics team came second in the national competition

At the inter-school robotics competition in Baku, our team of grade 7 pupils came second out of 38 teams. The task was to build a robot that clears obstacles and carries four coloured cubes to their places.

The team has four members: Nihad, Aylin, Murad and Sevinj. They train at the club twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 15:15 to 16:45, with Tural Nasirov, and for the two weeks before the competition they came in on Saturdays too.

The pupils wrote the robot’s program themselves. In the first round the robot dropped a cube twice, so before the second round they rebuilt the gripper.

Pupils in grades 4 to 9 can join the club. A new group starts in September, with 12 places.
