Insurance for a Schengen visa: €30,000 and what else is checked
Besides the sum, the consulate checks the area, the dates and the risks. The EU Visa Code’s requirements, and three examples at our prices.

The requirement is in Article 15 of Regulation No 810/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council (the Visa Code). The policy is handed in with the documents; an application without it is not accepted.
What the policy must cover
- At least €30,000 of cover.
- Urgent medical attention and emergency hospital treatment.
- Repatriation for medical reasons, and death.
- Validity in every Schengen state for the whole stay.
- For a multiple-entry visa a policy covering the first trip is enough; later trips need their own policies.
What it costs with us
- 7 days, 1 traveller, €30,000: ₼8.40.
- 15 days, 2 travellers, €30,000: ₼36.
- 10 days, a traveller aged 68, €50,000: ₼32 (twice the price for ages 65–74).
If the visa is refused, send us the refusal letter: the policy is cancelled and the money returns to your card within 5 working days. If your dates change, we move them for free before the policy starts.
