Murov Kabel starts up its second CCV line
The new line raises annual capacity for XLPE cable up to 35 kV from 1,900 km to 3,400 km.
The second continuous vulcanisation line at the Sumgait cable plant is running in trial mode. The first three drums are 35 kV, 240 mm² cable, and all of them have passed type tests in the plant laboratory.
The line will reach full output in the first quarter of 2027. By then the lead time for medium-voltage orders will fall from 21 days to 14. It will employ 36 people over three shifts; 22 have already been hired.
