Gas lines for villages in Guba and Gusar
112 km of PE100 gas pipe and 2,800 fittings for 23 villages.
In the mountains polyethylene was chosen over steel: it is light, travels in coils and tolerates ground movement. Ø32–110 mm pipe was shipped in 100 and 200 metre coils, Ø160 and 225 mm in 12-metre lengths.
The gas pipe was made to EN 1555 at SDR11. Every coil carries its batch number; the contractor recorded those numbers in the welding log, so the pipe in each joint is known.
