Hauling equipment to a cement plant in Garadagh
38 oversized loads, the heaviest 58 tonnes: 21 night runs from the port to the plant.

Equipment for the plant’s new mill arrived at Alat by ferry. The mill shell sections were 4.8 metres wide, so the route was surveyed first: road signs were taken down temporarily in two places and one bridge’s load rating was checked.
The loads travelled 47 km between midnight and 05:00 under road-police escort; we arranged the permits and the escort. All 38 loads arrived undamaged, two days ahead of schedule.
