The brief

Beams on the over-water part of a loading trestle had corroded and some piles had lost metal. The terminal wanted it repaired without stopping loading.

How the work went

  • Pile thickness was measured; piles with more than 20% metal loss were reinforced.
  • New beams were made and coated in Lökbatan and set at night by crane.
  • Work ran in windows that fitted the loading schedule.
