What we do

  • New lines

4 to 28-inch flowlines from wells to gathering stations, water and gas lines: trenching, stringing, welding, coating, lowering-in and backfill.

  • Replacement

Old lines replaced section by section without long shut-ins: the new section is built alongside, then tied in.

  • Emergency repair

A crew and equipment at the leak within 24 hours: clamps, cut-outs, inspection and testing.

  • Nearshore

Lines in up to 4 to 5 m of water: pipe welded into strings on the shore, boat support, weather windows in the schedule.

How a job goes

  1. We survey the route and existing services and get the excavation permits.
  2. Welding procedures and welder tests are witnessed by the client’s inspector.
  3. Every weld is tested by ultrasound or radiography and reported the same day.
  4. The line is hydrotested, cathodic protection is surveyed and the as-built file is handed over.

Questions

How many welds a day?

A four-welder crew averages 18 to 20 welds a day on 6 to 10-inch pipe; in Siyazan the average was 19.

What certificates do your welders hold?

All are qualified in the 6G position; on every project they test again to the client’s procedure.

Do you buy the pipe?

Usually the client supplies it. If you prefer, we tender for it and add it to our offer.
